Happy Birthday, Bruce Morrow!

“Cousin Brucie” Morrow ruled the East Coast airwaves, first on New York powerhouse WABC from 1961 to 1974, jumping to rival WNBC and then two years later to Oldies WCBS-FM. Bruce and I share a unique connection: he introduced the Beatles at their 1965 Shea Stadium concert, a year after I introduced them at Empire Stadium.

We were both elected to the Rock’n’Roll Hall of Fame in 1995 as pioneer deejays.

In 2005 Bruce joined satellite radio provider SIRIUS to do several Oldies shows. You can hear him today on Sirius’ ’60s on 6. Happy Birthday, Bruce… and many more!
