Harvey Korman Passes

Comic actor Harvey Korman has died at 81. Korman was a regular on the Carol Burnett Show from 1967 through 1978 for which he won Emmy awards in 1969,1971,1972 and 1974. He also won a Golden Globe for his work on the series. The tall actor also appeared in Mel BrooksBlazing Saddles playing the role of the sneering Hedley Lamarr:

He visited Vancouver on many occasions and I had the opportunity to interview him for my CISL morning show in the ’90s. He returned a year ago with sidekick Tim Conway for a theatre presentation. Harvey Korman was one great comedian.
