Michael and Elvis Get “Fever”!

The U.S. Post Office has issued new black and white Elvis stamps and with an order for two sheets you receive a CD containing Elvis singing with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and Michael Bublé. Michael was genuinely excited about his contribution on Fever where he gets to sing along with the King. Many do not know that Michael’s greatest hero is Elvis and to participate in this special project was a dream come true.

The concept was used before by David Foster to bring the late Nat “King” Cole and his daughter Natalie together on a song titled Unforgettable. By wiping the original background clean and using only Nat’s voice and then adding Natalie’s with new orchestration provided Natalie with another million seller.

This technique has added to Elvis’ legacy and Michael’s rendition is superb. I had the honour of being the first deejay in Canada to play it a couple of weeks ago. CISL 650 continues to play this on a regular basis. It is receiving wide acclaim and rightfully so.
