It’s one of my favorite summer traditions: my friend and Seattle broadcast legend Pat O’Day covers the Chevrolet Cup Unlimited Hydroplane Race in HDTV on Sunday, August 3 on KIRO-TV. The show kicks off at 9am and racing starts at 10am.

The man who also gave us KJR Seattle… Channel 95 and Concerts West has been a part of Hydro history since 1967. Last year Pat celebrated his 40th consecutive Hydro broadcast and KIRO-TV honored his incredible achievement:
