The Searchers, Peter & Gordon

The Searchers were part of the British Invasion in the mid Sixties. They came to the River Rock Show Theatre with Peter & Gordon for an entertaining return to those halycon days of yore. The group was famous for hits such as When You Walk In The Room, Needles and Pins, and their biggest hit Love Potion #9. The demand for all things nostalgic sees the group working more than ever.

Searchers

The name of the group came from the movie The Searchers starring John Wayne, Natalie Wood and Jeffrey Hunter. Watching this movie in Lubbock, TX Buddy Holly and Jerry Allison of the Crickets picked up John Wayne’s phrase in the movie “That’ll be the day…”, which became their first million selling record. The Searchers still have that enthusiasm they had when they were young and starting out. It was a great show.
