Red, In the mid 50s, before Kelowna had a bridge, the watershow at the Kelowna Regatta featured a reworded Version of Cross Over the Bridge with the lyrics changed to “Bennett, give us a bridge.” Your show today brought back that memory and I had forgotten that the original version was by Patti Page.

It might be an appropriate melody for the opening of the new Bennett Bridge in Kelowna, or background music for Kevin Falcon, if he’s forced to jump off it if it’s not completed on time.
