Brian Wilson played the Centre for the Performing Arts and we were able to get an exclusive interview. We sat down and talked music and his latest CD Brian Wilson Reimagines Gershwin.

Many people do not know that George Gershwin influenced a young Brian. He was also influenced by the Four Freshmen with their unique four part harmony, which he brought to the Beach Boys sound.

Brian has had his battles with demons over the years and no longer appears with the Beach Boys but instead tours with his solo show which includes music from the CD and memorable Beach Boys songs he recorded years ago. Glen Campbell once referred to Brian as “a true genius.” I concur.
