Buddy Holly Is Alive and Well… on Ganymede?

Some legends do not die, and some grow stronger as the years pass.  Buddy Holly is an example of a true legend continuing to have an impact in 2012.  The musical Buddy opens at the Stanley Theatre in Vancouver and will run through July. This is the most successful rock musical in history. It has beaten out Grease and West Side Story to become  the most popular box office musical of all time.

Here’s an interesting new twist to the Holly legend: Buddy Holly Is Alive and Well on Ganymede, based on Bradley Denton’s comic sci-fi novel.

The film takes place in February 1989, 30 years from the day Buddy’s chartered plane crashed in Iowa — “the day the music died”.

This teaser video brings the Holly legacy into a new dimension and is worth watching.
