Catching Up With Peter Starr

Peter Starr came to town last week for the annual motorcycle show at the Tradex in Abbotsford. I met up with him at the Trev Deeley Motorcycle Exhibition for an interview for my Global TV show. Peter’s British accent got him a deejay shift at CKLG at the height of the British Invasion and the Flower Power days. This photo was taken in the CKLG studio. You can see how uptight Peter was at work!

Peter also worked for a while at CFUN before heading south to California where he got into the world of film documentaries. He has spent 40 years in the motorcycle  industry and 35 years as a film producer. Peter’s benchmark film Take It To The Limit  won many awards. He also invented mobile units to carry cameras and better film moving items like cars and motorcycles.  Peter’s new book Taking It to the Limit is out now. His involvement in Hollywood has earned him respect from stars like Mel Gibson. Jay Leno had him as a guest on his specialty TV show. Peter Starr is an amazing guy and a major part of the passing radio parade in the Sixties and Seventies.
