In my early days in radio it was not uncommon for artists to drop by the station. This photo was taken at CJOR and Clarence Dixon from the Four Knights is holding a bottle of 7-Up (a sponsor). The Four Knights were not rock and roll but a pop group. They accompanied Nat King Cole on his hits My Personal Possession and That’s All There Is to That. Their 1954 hit, I Get So Lonely When I Dream About You (Oh Baby Mine), went to #3 on the U.S. charts and was their biggest success, selling over one million copies. Clarence left the group in 1963. He died in 1992.
