Every night this week (Feb 4-8), The Late Show with David Letterman salutes Elvis with some of the best tribute artists on the planet. Here is the lineup:

Feb 4 — Cody Slaughter
Feb 5 — Brandon Bennett
Feb 6 — Justin Shandor
Feb 7 — Ben Portsmouth
Feb 8 — Shawn Klush

What is most interesting is the fact that Shawn Klush, Cody Slaughter and Ben Portsmouth will play the Red Robinson Show Theatre on October 19. This sell-out show gives you the feeling of the on-stage power of the real Elvis.

To quote the late Johnny Carson, “If life was fair Elvis would be alive and the tribute artists would be dead.” This is not to say the artists don’t respect Elvis and do a credible job… but isn’t it sad the real McCoy is not with us?
