For many years I was invited to Memphis to act as MC for Elvis Week. It was a most exciting time and I got to know Elvis’ friends and discover the respect the citizens of Memphis had for the King of Rock and Roll. If a man can be judged by his family and friends, Elvis was one great guy.  But I already knew that, having met him at his only Vancouver appearance in 1957.

It is hard to imagine that even after all these years Elvis is still remembered as the man who changed the music world forever. Thirty seven years later he is again being recognized for the ground breaking artist he was.
