The Beatles came to Vancouver August 22, 1964. Last year Carole put on a 50th anniversary tribute to the Fab Four featuring Revolver. The PNE could have done more to salute the Mop Tops last year, but they compensated big time with The Magical History Tour: The Beatles Memorabilia Exhibition. This display takes up all the space in the Garden Auditorium building on the grounds. It is a must see at this year’s PNE.

I was a guest today on CKNW with Michael Smyth and we talked about the show. 

You will see the infamous Double Fantasy album autographed by John Lennon five hours before Mark Chapman shot and killed him. Chapman requested the autograph and it is the last autograph that Lennon ever gave.

You will also see John’s psychedelic Rolls Royce, on loan from the Royal B.C. Museum and an amazing collection of never seen before memorabilia from some of the greatest private collectors in North America. It is a must see. Daily 11am-10pm at the PNE’s Garden Auditorium.
