Freedom To Play

Hi Red, I live in the East Kootenay.  I was in the Lower Mainland today and caught your show.  I am now in my hotel and have it on again.  Anyway I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed it and how it brought back many memories of growing up in Victoria in the 50’s and 60’s.

On another note, I happened to be out for dinner last night in a pub in Abbotsford where the hockey game was on. I was very disappointed to see the players moving and jostling during the National Anthem. They could not even wait until the anthem was finished before they started skating off. I thought it was inappropriate and disrespectful of the teams from Vancouver and Calgary. I wonder how many of them stop to think that they CAN play hockey, because of our military men and women who sacrificed their lives for our freedom.

And one more item before closing.  Remind your listeners to wear red on Friday to support our troops now and in the past.

Thanks Red, loved listening to you today.

Alton, I hope you tune in again. I will certainly mention our men and women in uniform. I support the troops.
