I had the pleasure of interviewing Graham Kerr, the Galloping Gourmet, at the Vancouver Trade and Convention Centre. Graham was in town to give cooking instructions over the length of the event. He now lives in Washington state with his wife Treena. They have been married for over half a century. He is a most cordial guy. I remarked about his suspenders which are even more colorful than those worn by Larry King. He pointed out that his do not match.

Graham and Julia Child revolutionized the cooking world. When I suggested to Graham that this was true he added a caveat: “Please don’t compare me to Julia… she was outstanding and my contributions could never compare to hers.” They both appeared together some years ago in a PBS special. In the world of cooking, Graham Kerr is an icon. A great treat meeting him.
