Jann Arden on Red’s Reunion

I just interviewed Jann Arden for my Global TV show. She is doing a national book tour and has a new CD produced by Bob Rock, who challenged her vocal cords in the studio. The new CD Uncover Me 2 (Uncover Me came out in 2007) is a composite of former hits redone in her unique style and contains a lot of my all time favorite songs.

Jann’s book Falling Backwards is a look at her life growing up. It is happy one moment and sad the next, as she holds nothing back. She continues with her CBC radio show, concert tours, recording sessions, her book tour and somehow finds time for herself. An amazing lady and a national treasure. On the Seymour side of the Orpheum Theatre she is listed as a Vancouver Favorite alongside names such as Harry Belafonte and Victor Borge.

I was at the Grey Cup and saw Jann sing the national anthem. She admitted to being nervous as the audience is always so critical when someone sings O Canada. She pulled it off without a hitch in front of 54,000 fans, including the Prime Minister and many other dignitaries. What a game, what a day and what a win. Thanks B.C Lions for a great year that turned from a disaster into a dream come true.
