Red, In about 1964 or 1965, I won a locket containing a swatch of John Lennon’s hair. It was a contest put on through one of the record stores in Vancouver (perhaps A&B Sound), sponsored by either C-FUN or CKLG. I think I won because I bought so many of the Beatles’ 45 RPM records!
When I received the locket, it came with a signed affidavit verifying the hair as belonging to Lennon. I still have the locket and the case, but not the affidavit.
I would like to find out if there is any record of this contest and if so, if there is a way for me to verify the contents of the locket. It is a great piece of memorabilia. I thought if anyone in Vancouver might be able to find the answer to this, it would be you.
Are you able to help? I would really appreciate any information you might have or if you could point me in the right direction to find it!

Barb, I think you have a treasure there but I am sorry to report that I am unable to help you. Records from the various radio stations have all been destroyed by corporate owners who over the years have taken over outlets and tossed out all memories.
