I caught up with Kenny Rogers at the River Rock Casino Friday (17). I have  worked with Kenny many times over the years and we’ve had many interviews.

Kenny is  still the consummate showman. He almost cancelled his Vancouver appearance due to a scratchy throat but decided to carry on and we were glad he did. He was walking with great care as he told the audience he had just had knee surgery. Kenny is now in his mid-seventies and these things are to be expected.

Dal Richards invited Carole and I to join him in his special suite (next door to Bruce Allen’s suite) at the Casino, where we enjoyed the show from the comfort of the facility. Dal is still going strong and will be 97 in January. What an amazing man!  A great time was had by all at the concert.
