Macy Gray came to the River Rock Show Theatre for a one night appearance.  The R&B singer-songwriter has had five Grammy nominations, winning one.  She has appeared as an actor in movies such as Spiderman and Training Day with Denzel Washington.  Even though she had been recording for years it was her appearance on the Black-Eyed Peas debut album with the song Love Won’t Wait that drew her talents to the attention of many in the industry and the public.  Her debut album Oh, How Life Is went platinum in the U.S., 4 times platinum in the U.K. and 3 times platinum in Canada.  She  has not had a major hit album in some time, but told me she is working on one at the moment.
