Following a civil ceremony March 31 and a formal ceremony and reception on April 2 in Buenos Aires, Lewis and Amber Bublé threw a party in celebration of their son Michael‘s recent marriage to actress Luisana Lopilato.

Here are some photos from the elegant reception held at Vancouver’s Pan Pacific Hotel Friday May 20. As emcee for the affair I can tell you it was a regal experience. No effort was spared to present the wedding reception of a lifetime. Michael and Luisana will long remember this amazing gathering. Guests included Jann Arden, David Foster, Bob Rock, Pat Quinn, Brian Burke, and a host of other luminaries. Bruce Allen, Sam Feldman, and  the president of Warner Bros. Records were in attendance as well.

Paul Anka was supposed to have been a surprise guest but was called away suddenly on a family emergency. Paul wrote a tribute to the young couple to the tune of My Way, a song composed by Paul.  As he wasn’t there they asked me to sing… I do not have a talent for singing so I read the words to the gathering. It was a unique poem. All in all probably the most expensive affair I have ever attended.

Michael welcomed guests in a gracious speech from the dance floor with a special thanks to Luisa’s family, who flew in from Argentina.  The bride danced the night away with her brother, sister, parents and the 450 other invited guests who feasted on a combination of local and imported seafood, Argentinean delights including tacos and empanadas and delicious white sangria and champagne.  This model wearing a five foot wide gown made of white cupcakes which she served to the guests was one of the many special ‘wow’ moments.
