New Video From An Old Friend

My friend Jerry Naylor just completed a tour of the UK with major stops in Scotland and Wales. He was there to promote his latest song I Still Love You Peggy Sue. Jerry is much older today… but aren’t we all? This new animated video is one of my favorites.

The song is rockabilly in content — only Jerry can make it sound authentic along with a minority of artists who embrace the genre. It is outstanding and hopefully will get some air play. The original concept is exceptional. In essence it is a tribute to Buddy Holly from the man who fronted the Crickets after the tragedy that took Buddy’s life. Have a look and a listen:

I just received a note from Jerry talking about the tour:

“Well, it is great timing as it is in the middle of the 50th Anniversary “Liberty Years” period for us. With the induction of Buddy Holly’s Crickets into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, it’s a natural. The UK media tour was amazing. We were in over forty cities and did interviews each day were were there. We also played at The Cavern in Liverpool, Half-Moon Pub in Putney (where the Rolling Stones started) and then the last night at The Cathedral in Middlesbrough. All in all it was a great and very successful tour. We had some ups and downs, but the best thing was the amazing Crickets fans, who were just wonderful and full of love and excitement.”
