Northwest Rock & Radio DVD

When Jerry Dennon started Louie Louie and the History of Northwest Rock & Radio he asked me if I would participate and I was happy to help. I mentioned in my notes for the DVD booklet that many big names came from the Northwest: Bing Crosby, Johnnie Ray, The Brothers Four, and The Fleetwoods. The list goes on right up to the “grunge” era. I forgot to mention Jimmie Rodgers, from Camas WA, who had a string of major folk hits in the Fifties and Sixties: Honeycomb, Kisses Sweeter Than Wine and Child of Clay. By the time I thought of his name the package had already gone to press. Jimmie was not only a great talent but a major force in folk music. This is definitely a “must have” package.
