Ross McLeod Passes At 59

This photo with the late Ross McLeod, the 20th recipient of the prestigious Doorman Of The Year award, was taken last October. Ross was a most generous man, supporting so many charitable organizations in British Columbia. As Chairman and CEO of Great Canadian Gaming Corporation, Ross was the man responsible for building two outstanding theatres, the River Rock in Richmond and the Red Robinson Show Theatre in Coquitlam.

Both theatres are part of two leading casinos and have brought forth some of the greatest names in show business in the past 7 years. Ross lived to see his vision become a reality in more ways than one. He was responsible for the growth of Great Canadian with casinos in many parts of Canada and the U.S. and racetracks in Canada. He leaves us with a legacy of entertainment venues that have changed the face of the scene in the Lower Mainland. He will be truly missed. Carole and I send our condolences to his wife Sheila and family. His memory and his good work will live on.
