Thanks, Courtenay!

The warmth and the hospitality shown Carole and me in Courtenay lingers on as a sweet memory. I wish to thank Deb Rez, the manager of the Sid Williams Theatre, for her hospitality and the plaque on the back on a chair in the auditorium and a lifetime pass. I look forward to seeing Deb again when the play Red Rock Diner plays there this December. I will be there!

A salute to the following: Terrry Farrell of the Comox Valley Record, Drew Bradley of Jim’s Clothes Closet (my plaque is embedded in concrete at his front door), Fred Tutt for his support in many ways including his customized Coca-Cola truck and mini Diner that followed me in the Hupmobile. Fred played historic rock and roll music on his speaker as the parade progressed. Also to former mayor Ron Webber and his wife Lorraine for hosting us during our visit.

Thanks to all and thanks for the photos of me in front of Jim’s Clothes Closet with the dedicated plaque. I will never forget the event and enjoyed everything including the extremely hot weather. Thanks Courtenay, and happy 100 years as an incorporated city!
