Loggins and Messina and myself backstage at the Red Robinson Show Theatre. I couldn’t get over how Jim Messina looked a little like Elmer Tippe. Must be the hat!

Regardless, these two, who have only joined forces recently again, put on a show to remember. Their band is tight and one of the best show bands I have seen in eons. Kenny disappointed a few by not singing some of his major hits like Danger Zone and Footloose but remember this was the Loggins and Messina show and the material was from the duet’s past. The audience wanted more so the show went on until almost 10:30 before ending. For a theatre show today that is a long time. You can tell that all of them, band included, enjoy working together and their passion for this music is obvious. Don’t miss them next time they hit town.
