Hi Red, I live on Vancouver Island and love listening to your show.  I heard a song today and am hoping to get the name. I looked at the playlist but I can’t seem to locate it. It is an older song about a rich girl and a poor boy meeting on the road to LA.  Can you help me?

Donna, the song should have been in the top ten when it came out. It is Terry Black and Laurel Ward with (Goin’ Down) On The Road to L.A.  At the time the two were married. They also both appeared in the group Dr. Music in later years.  Terry, sadly, died last year. He was a Vancouver boy.

Hi Red, Goin’ Down (On The Road To L.A.) was one beautiful song, I forgot that he was Canadian.

I don’t think that was in your Top 400 last long weekend, should have been! Always loved that song.

He was one year younger than me, sad that he died.
