The Paris Sisters at CJOR, 1955

The Paris SistersPriscilla, Albeth and Sherrell – were much like The Andrews Sisters, who preceded them by a decade. The sisters played the Cave in Vancouver for a week in 1955 and came to visit me during my night time show. They were talented and gorgeous.

The Paris Sisters recorded many records for Decca, but nothing really big happened until 1961 when they recorded I Love How You Love Me with up-and-coming producer Phil Spector. I Love How You Love Me peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart and sold over one million copies.

Sherrell is still with us, but Priscilla died in 2004 from injuries suffered in a fall. Albeth Paris died in 2014. She was 79.
