I had the pleasure of having lunch with John Saboe today at the new downtown White Spot on Dunsmuir at Homer. John began his radio career as an all night radio announcer on CKNW and decided that was not his calling. Years later he became Sales Manager at the station. That’s where we met. He has a most engaging personality and we hit it off instantly.

John decided to start his own business. He had a desire to spread his wings and travel the world, especially Asia. He has been living in Taiwan and loving it. Recently he ventured to Nepal and was there during the recent catastrophic earthquake. His YouTube videos and pictures of the destruction in that country are stunning.
