Susan Jacks And Friends At The “Red”

It was billed as Susan Jacks And Friends, a fundraiser for the Kidney Foundation, April 17 at the Red Robinson Show Theatre. Some of Susan’s friends from the old days of Music Hop/Let’s Go were on hand to make this more of a reunion. Michael Campbell and Gillian Russell joined Susan on stage for some memorable performances. Susan asked me to open the show as I co-hosted Music Hop for many years with Fred Latremouille. Fred moved on to host Dance Party at Channel 8 (now Global TV) leaving me as the lone host.

It was a memorable evening. They could have had more people but it was a Canucks playoff night. How do you fight that? It was a terrific show and hundreds of people enjoyed the performances all for a great cause. The foundation should do it again next year.
